Congratulations to all of our rider and horse combinations for a fantastic showing at the Otter Creek Horst Trials in Wheeler, Wisconsin. The event was held September 28-30, 2007. The facilities were wonderful and the footing exceptional. This is a must visit event and we plan on making it a yearly visit.

Julia Sorenson and Tipperary Keelin: Third Place, Beginner Novice - Junior Rider.
Julia and Keelin had their best showing to date! The pair rocked out Dressage with only 40.5 penalties. Then, with a double clear Cross Country, they found themselves Tied for Second Place. Stadium Jumping was cancelled due to inclement weather so the tie was broken by closest to optimum time on Cross Country. Eight seconds separated second and third places. Congrats to the pair for a fantastic showing.

Lauren Hoos and Tennessee Tuxedo (Beau) - Sixth Place, Novice - Junior Rider. Lauren and Beau went out and did great in Dressage with a total of only 34.7 penalty points. Cross country was awesome with no jumping faults. Congrats to the pair for a fantastic showing.

Christine Neff and Tipperary Scarlett - Ninth Place - Beginner Novice Horse. Chris and Scarlett started things out with a great Dressage score of 30 putting them in First Place. Cross Country went well, less a single refusal at a fence and some time penalties incurred from the refusal. This beautiful horse and injured rider (broken left foot) did great. Congrats to the pair for a fantastic showing.

The group as a whole did great. It is truly a pity that stadium was cancelled. Poles were falling and refusals were a plenty in most of the stadium that was completed before the storms came in. All of our riders were confident and probably would have moved up in placings as they were all quite prepared for what was in front of them. However, all that can be said is wait 'till next year and congratulations to all!

Extra special thanks to the 'grooms' for the weekend Peg Sorenson and Ingrid Hoos. The show would not have gone as smoothly without you both.
